If you want to make your Christmas decor pop this year, you’ve come to the right place! Here, we’ll discuss some tips you can use to make your home really stand out over the festive period. Enjoy!

Use Unique and Personalized Tree Ornaments

Make sure you use unique and personalized tree ornaments to make your Christmas tree stand out. For instance, if you have kids, you could make sure you have decorations with their names and initials on. There are so many cool and unique ornaments out there, your Christmas decor definitely doesn’t need to be a cliche. Consider coming up with the sort of Christmas theme you want and then start choosing your ornaments based around that. You could even have a ‘Nightmare before Christmas’ kind of Christmas. You don’t need to follow tradition if you don’t want to! Just make sure the theme suits you and your personality.

Make An Unusual Tree

You don’t even have to have a regular tree, if you want something very different to what you’re used to. You could have a tree made out of wood, for example. It doesn’t even need to look like a tree for you to decorate it! You can make your tree ads unusual as you like. One good thing to bear in mind though, is that it will usually be your focal point. Make sure you place it and decorate it as such.

Go For An Unusual Color Scheme

Instead of using reds, greens, and other popular color schemes, go for an unusual color scheme. You can use just about any color you really like. You could use yellow, purple, azure blue – lots of jewel colors, and even pastel colors if you wanted. Get creative with it and see what you can come up with!

Choose The Right Type Of Lighting

Having the right type of lighting in your Christmas decor is really important. If you don’t have the right kind of lighting, your decor isn’t going to stand out as much as it could. LED Christmas lights can look great both inside and outside of your house. Fairy light style lights will add an element of magic, and you can even have lanterns and things dotted around if you like. Candles can make great lighting for Christmas time too, just make sure you don’t leave them unattended.

Make Your Own Christmas Ornaments

How about making your own Christmas ornaments this year? This will make your decor truly unique and add a personal touch. You could make snowmen out of paper mache, for instance. This is a really fun activity to do if you have kids. They’ll love making all of the Christmas decor with you and it’ll really get everybody in the Christmas spirit.

These tips should help you to make your Christmas decor pop this year. Don’t be afraid to go against the grain and show off your personality with it. Do something really quirky to have a truly unique Christmas. Tips of your own? Leave them below. Thanks for reading!
