If you’re a busy Mom that is struggling to keep on top of things – here’s a list of the best-working Mom hacks. (These will change your way of living – for the better!)

Pre-Make The Lunches

Make the kids school lunches the night before and put them in the fridge to save the hassle of the morning rush. You can either make a whole week’s worth of sandwiches and freeze the lot, so all you need to do in the mornings is pull one out and grab a couple of snacks.

Lay It Out

Lay out everyone’s clothes (including your own) the night before. That means right down to the socks and shoes too. What Mother hasn’t wasted 10 minutes every morning hunting down a shoe or only finding odd socks in the sock drawer?

Colour Code Your Towels

Give every member of the house two towels of their own colour, so you know who to chase after when towels are left on the floor. Not only this, there will be no more “He stole my towel!” arguments.

Do Grocery Shopping Online

Doing all your grocery shopping online is a great way to pick and choose want you want, easily. Aside from the obvious benefits of avoiding the special hell that is supermarket shopping with children, it’s also the perfect way to avoid multiple trips to the shops when you’ve forgotten that one little item to pick up, as well as minimising impulse buys. There are also companies that send you the ingredients you need, along with the recipe! Hello Fresh reviews will give you some honest opinions on these services.

Sit Together At The Table

If you have work to do at home, sit alongside your child as they do their own homework. You are encouraging them to work independently, while still being on hand if they get stuck on something.

Make A Homework Box

Give your schoolchild a personalised homework box stocked with pencils, pens, colours, paper, a calculator, an eraser, a ruler, etc. Ask them to bring it to the table whenever it’s time to do homework, then put it all back in the box once they have finished.

Keep The Car Stocked And Prepared

Have a ‘car box’ fully stocked at all times. Keep things like a first-aid kit, lollies, water, old towel, plastic bags, snacks, plastic cups and plastic plates with plastic cutlery and serviettes, picnic rug, change of clothes for baby/toddlers, an ice-cream container, a bucket and spade, etc. Whatever you think you will need at hand.

Clean The Bathroom At Bath-Time

Keep disinfecting wipes and sponges in the bathroom for quick clean-ups around toilets, mirrors and sinks. This way you could do a speedy wipe-down while you bathe your kids.

It’s Okay To Say No!

Saying no does not mean you’re not capable, or you’re a ‘bad’ person. So don’t be afraid to say no to things. Over-committing yourself will lead to stress, exhaustion, and guilt if you’re unable to follow through
